Magic the Gathering was first released by Wizards of the Coast in 1993, and is enjoyed by 35 million people worldwide. It was the first trading card game, and there are about 50,000 unique cards to collect and play. The newest series was released in June 2023 and is based on JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.
